We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Technician/Designer to manage the setup and operation of Cabinet Vision, integrate supplier APIs, and create detailed custom 3D designs for our woodworking projects. This role is critical for streamlining production processes, ensuring accurate pricing structures, and generating CNC code for our machines. **Key Responsibilities** 1. Cabinet Vision Setup and Management - Configure and maintain Cabinet Vision software for optimal performance tailored to production needs. - Integrate live API feeds from suppliers to ensure accurate, real-time pricing data. - Manage the addition of new suppliers as the business expands, ensuring seamless integration and functionality. 2. Cost Management - Input and manage comprehensive cost data, including materials, labor, and overheads. - Develop and maintain varied pricing structures for different customer segments, such as B2B, retail, and property developers. - Ensure that pricing reflects negotiated discounts and supplier agreements. 3. CNC Code Generation - Generate precise CNC code from finalised designs, ensuring compatibility with CNC machinery. - Conduct thorough quality checks on the generated code to minimize errors and ensure efficient production. - Troubleshoot any issues that arise during the CNC machining process. 4 Process Optimisation - Continuously assess and improve workflows related to design creation and CNC operations. - Implement best practices for managing multiple design projects to ensure efficiency and timely completion. Required Skills and Qualifications -Advanced proficiency in Cabinet Vision and other CAD software for 3D modeling. - Strong understanding of CNC machining processes and capabilities both 3 and 5 Axis - Proven experience in custom woodworking design and fabrication. - Proficiency in programming languages relevant to CNC operations (e.g., G-code, M-code) to operate and troubleshoot CNC machines effectively. - Strong analytical skills for effective cost management and optimization. - Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities. - Familiarity with integrating software solutions and managing API connections for supplier data.
