CNC Stainless Steel Prototype Fabrication
USD 250–750
About the project
I already have complete 3D CAD files for a compact device that falls in the 10-30 cm range. I now need a partner who can take those files, CNC-machine the components in stainless steel, apply an anodized finish, assemble the parts to final form, and ship the ready-to-test prototype back to me. Key points of the job • Material: stainless steel only—please confirm your stock grade and certs. • Finish: anodizing is required on all visible surfaces; colour is flexible, but the coating must be even and durable. • Size: overall footprint lands squarely in the medium (10-30 cm) bracket, with several tight-tolerance mating features (±0.02 mm) that must line up perfectly at assembly. I will supply STEP files, drawings with critical dimensions, and a short assembly guide. If you spot DFM issues, I welcome feedback before cutting chips. Deliverables 1. Machined stainless-steel parts that meet the provided tolerances. 2. Anodized finish applied uniformly. 3. Fully assembled prototype, cleaned, packaged, and shipped. 4. Brief dimensional inspection report or photos verifying key features. If you have the in-house capability to machine, anodize, and assemble—or reliable vendors you manage regularly—please let me know your typical turnaround time and any questions you have about the models. I’m ready to start as soon as we’re aligned on the workflow.
