Globoidal Cam for Packaging Machinery
INR 12500–37500
About the project
I’m developing an industrial-grade packaging machine and need a precisely engineered globoidal cam that converts continuous input rotation into accurate intermittent motion at the indexing table. Your task is to design the complete cam profile so it can drop straight into our existing drivetrain without re-machining surrounding parts. Key details • Application: high-speed packaging line (industrial environment) • Required motion: intermittent indexing with consistent dwell periods and gentle acceleration to protect product integrity • Space envelope and shaft diameter will be supplied as soon as the project starts, along with the target cycle rate and load data. Deliverables 1. Parametric 3D CAD model of the globoidal cam (STEP + native format) 2. Fully dimensioned 2D manufacturing drawing with tolerances and recommended material/heat-treatment notes 3. Basic motion analysis confirming dwell angle, acceleration profile, and contact stress stay within supplied limits 4. Short hand-off memo summarising assumptions and any maintenance considerations Acceptance will be based on the CAD fitting our envelope, the motion study matching the requested index time, and clear, shop-ready drawings that a machinist can follow. If you have experience designing cams for high-speed industrial machinery, especially packaging equipment, I’d love to see relevant samples or references when you bid.
