100 hp Tow-Behind Rock Picker
AUD 250–750
About the project
I need a robust tow-behind rock picker that my 100 hp tractor can handle comfortably in broadacre agricultural fields. The machine must reliably lift and collect medium-sized stones—roughly 3 in to 6 in diameter—without clogging or excessive wear, and it has to stay stable on a mix of flat paddocks and rolling rises. Key functional expectations • PTO or tractor-hydraulic drive sized for the 100 hp class • Adjustable tine or reel system that scoops, separates soil, and drops rocks into a bin without excessive soil carry-over • Ground-following frame or suspension so the picker tracks evenly across uneven terrain • Simple, low-maintenance bearings, chains, and wear parts that a farm workshop can source locally • Safe unload mechanism that tips or conveyors the collected load clear of the working area Deliverables • Full 3D CAD model and assembly (SolidWorks, Inventor, or comparable) • Fabrication drawings (PDF + native DWG/DXF) with weld symbols, material call-outs, and critical tolerances • Complete bill of materials with readily available components—hydraulic cylinders, bearings, sprockets, etc. • Basic operating guide outlining hookup, flow/pressure requirements, and service intervals I will review the drawings against my tractor dimensions, so please include overall transport width, hitch type, and estimated operating speed. If you have past farm-implement work or stress analyses, sharing a sample render or FEA screenshot with your proposal will help me choose quickly. I’m available to clarify field conditions, soil type, or any other details you need. My tractor is a cat 2 hitch connection You must have completed design projects for the agricultural industry in the past if previous project examples
