About the project

I have 74 m² to transform into a calm, welcoming psychology practice. The space must accommodate two private consulting rooms, a small reception with adjoining waiting area, a kitchenette, a single-stall bathroom and an internal courtyard that draws in natural light. The overall look I’m after is modern yet earthy and warm—think grounded colours, textured finishes and soft lighting that puts clients at ease without feeling clinical. I’m naturally leaning toward quality wood furniture and fixtures, paired with carpeted flooring for both comfort and acoustics. Because confidentiality is paramount, I need a plan that treats soundproofing as a core design feature: insulated walls, acoustic doors, ceiling treatments, the works. Privacy sight-lines, subtle white-noise solutions and thoughtful placement of the waiting area also matter. What I need from you • A space-efficient layout that meets Australian code requirements and flows logically from reception to offices, amenities and courtyard. • Concept visuals (2D plans and basic 3D renders are fine) capturing the modern, warm palette. • A materials and finishes schedule highlighting wood selections, carpet specifications and any acoustic products you recommend. • Notes on construction details that will help my builder achieve the desired level of sound isolation.
