About the project

I need a full mechanical design package for an automatic PET bottle-blowing machine, from concept through to production-ready drawings. The priority area is the blowing unit itself, so every decision you make for the wider machine must integrate smoothly with that module. Blowing unit requirements • Material type: choose grades that can handle food-grade PET contact and repeated thermal cycling without fatigue. • Pressure capacity: the unit must safely sustain the high-pressure air bursts typical of 2-stage stretch blow moulding, designed with a generous safety factor. • Temperature resistance: components must tolerate the preform heating zone’s radiant heat as well as the sharp pressure-induced temperature drops during blowing. Scope of work – Complete 3D CAD model of the entire machine, including frame, preform heating section, blowing station, robotic or linear transfer, and discharge conveyor. – Detailed manufacturing drawings, tolerances, and exploded views for the blowing unit, plus assembly instructions for the rest of the machine. – Bill of materials with clearly specified alloys, seals, and off-the-shelf components. – FEA or equivalent calculations proving the pressure and temperature performance of the blowing cavity and associated manifolds. – A short design report summarising key decisions, standards followed, and maintenance considerations. Native CAD files (SolidWorks, Inventor, or Creo preferred) together with exported STEP/IGES and PDF drawing sets will complete the hand-over. If you already have experience designing PET stretch blow moulders, please mention any previous cycle-time or output rates you’ve achieved so I can gauge suitability.
