Senior Business Analyst—Equity Investments
hr USD 15–25
About the project
I need a seasoned Business Analyst who is completely at home in Financial Services, specifically the Investments space, to help me drive a rigorous equity analysis initiative now underway. The core of the assignment is to turn raw market, fundamental, and alternative-data inputs into clear-headed insights that feed directly into an investment decision-making framework. You’ll be expected to tease out business requirements from portfolio managers, translate them into functional specifications, and validate that the resulting analytical outputs line up with real-world equity performance goals. Key deliverables • A documented set of business and functional requirements for our equity-analysis workflow • Wire-framed or formally drafted process maps that show data sources, transformation steps, and KPI outputs • A gap analysis highlighting where current equity research processes diverge from best practice and how to close those gaps • A final presentation deck and supporting model (Excel, SQL or Power BI—use whichever suits the insight best) ready for senior-level review Acceptance criteria • Requirements are complete, unambiguous, and signed off by stakeholders • All data lineage and transformation steps are reproducible • Analytical outputs match our benchmark metrics for accuracy and timeliness You will work closely with me and our investment team, utilising the tool-set you find most efficient—Bloomberg, FactSet, Excel modeling, Python, SQL, or Power BI—so long as the final artefacts are transparent and auditable. I value concise documentation, an eye for risk, and, above all, the ability to communicate insights in plain English to non-technical stakeholders. If you have a track record in equity-focused business analysis and can hit the ground running, let’s talk.
