Traditional MDF Kitchen Cabinet Designs
hr AUD 2–8
About the project
I need a designer of kitchen cabinets that will be produced by a manufacturing partner in China, and I need complete design documentation ready for their CNC and assembly processes. The cabinets will be built from MDF, so the drawings must account for panel thicknesses, edge-banding, and joinery methods commonly used with this material. Here is what I need from you: • Precise 2D shop drawings and parametric 3D models for base, wall, and tall units, including exploded views and clear section details. • Cut lists, hardware schedules, and a concise bill of materials that match Chinese metric standards. • Rendered visuals (still images or short walkthrough) to confirm door profiles, mouldings, and finish options before production. • A sheet summarising recommended coatings and edge treatments suitable for MDF so that the factory can quote accurately. Acceptance criteria – All files supplied in DWG (AutoCAD) and STEP formats, layered and named logically. – Dimensions shown in millimetres with tolerances indicated where critical. – Components stay within standard Chinese plywood/MDF sheet sizes to minimise waste. – Drawings pass a quick check with my factory engineer; revisions, if any, returned within two business days. If you have experience delivering cabinet sets for offshore production, especially within the Chinese supply chain, this will move fast. Please share one or two relevant examples and confirm the CAD platform you use so I can align file exchange from the outset.
