CAD/CAM Mechanical Seal Design
hr USD 50
About the project
I need a complete CAD and CAM package for a set of mechanical seals that will be exposed to high temperatures, aggressive chemicals, and significant internal pressure. The job starts with translating my sketches and dimensional data into a fully-parametric 3D model, then moves straight into generating clean, collision-free toolpaths that are ready for CNC machining. Because these seals must handle heat, chemicals, and pressure simultaneously, the geometry, tolerances, and surface finishes are critical. I will share reference drawings, material specs, and performance targets as soon as we begin so you can model every groove, lip, and interference fit with confidence. I normally work in SolidWorks for design and either Mastercam or Fusion 360 for programming, but if you are more comfortable in a different mainstream platform, let me know; final deliverables just need to arrive in STEP/IGES for the model and standard G-code plus a setup sheet for the toolpaths. Deliverables • Parametric 3D model of the seal • Manufacturing drawing set with tolerances and callouts • CAM program with verified toolpaths (roughing to finish) • Post-processed G-code and setup documentation I will sign off once the model imports cleanly, the drawings dimension correctly, and the code runs a dry-run simulation without collisions or over-travel. If this fits your expertise, I’m ready to get the files in your hands today.
