Refine Backyard Landscape Plan
hr USD 15–25
About the project
I already have a builder-supplied draft of the overall landscaping, but the backyard still feels generic. I’m happy with the proposed plant palette, so the scope is purely about re-working the layout and features, not changing shrubs or trees. Here’s what I need help turning into a coherent, relaxing space: • Water feature that serves as a focal point and white-noise generator • Discreet, low-glare outdoor lighting to highlight paths and the water feature while preserving a calm night mood • Small zen grounding area for sitting or light meditation • Meandering walking path that ties these zones together • Strip of artificial turf sized for casual cornhole games • Flexible open area that can adapt to a smokeless fire pit or conversation area. I’ll supply the PDF of the existing plan and a few site and idea photos. You re-draw the backyard portion, adjust hard-scape lines, place the elements above, and return a polished plan ready for HOA submission. Two rounds of tweaks after the first draft should be built in so we can fine-tune layout dimensions and lighting angles. Final deliverable: scalable PDF (and source file if you work in AutoCAD, SketchUp, or Vectorworks) showing hard-scape, planting zones as originally chosen, lighting specs, and keyed notes for the contractor. A 3D rendering would be nice to have but is optional. Preference will be given to freelancers with experience in Southwest/desert landscaping styles within the United States. Creativity is highly valued, and we’re looking for someone who can collaborate closely with us to broaden ideas and refine the vision.
