About the project

We require a high-precision, production-ready 3D CAD assembly model and nested 2D sheet metal fabrication flat-pattern vector export (.DXF format) for a modular, 8-faceted solar concentrator basin (inverted octagonal truncated pyramid). The entire design is structurally locked to a flat-plane, segmented architecture with absolute ZERO material curvature. All dimensions, clearances, slots, and tab depths must be modeled exactly for a true 0.9 mm sheet metal thickness (Mirror-Polished Stainless Steel). 1. CORE SYSTEM DIMENSIONS (1:1 MILLIMETER SCALE): - Total Vertical Plumb Height: Exactly 416.0 mm (Vertical distance measured from the flat base plate floor straight up to the horizontal plane of the upper aperture rim). - Inner Octagon Slot Footprint: A regular octagon footprint measuring exactly 450.0 mm flat-to-flat across the center axis. - Individual Base Perimeter Edge Length: The 8 perimeter legs of this 450mm flat-to-flat inner octagon define the direct baseline docking track for each panel (calculated mathematically at 186.4 mm width per edge segment). - Bounding Top Width Rim: The horizontal upper rim width of each unrolled flat blade template scales out to exactly 386.0 mm. 2. MECHANICAL ASSEMBLY INTERFACE & CLEARANCES: - The 8 identical flat panels tilt outward away from the vertical plumb axis at a strict 3D dihedral slope angle of EXACTLY 60 degrees relative to the horizontal base plate plane. - The 8 facets must interlock sequentially using a continuous, rotating "Cyclic Pinwheel Lap-Joint" configuration. - ONE side margin of each blade template features a uniform 15.0 mm parallel extension flange. This flange features a pre-programmed press-brake/V-groove score line along the original 39-degree edge to fold neatly and hug the flat rear skin of the adjacent blade with a 100% flush face-to-face handshake. - SLANTED BASE CLEARANCE NOTCH: The bottom corner of the 15.0 mm extension flange features a skewed clearance notch cutout. The cutout tracks vertically straight up the slanted 60-degree dotted bend line (original blade edge) for exactly 20.0 mm, then cuts horizontally to the right perfectly parallel to the bottom baseline until it exits the outer sheet margin. This leaves the 186.4 mm main blade body solid and completely untouched for a zero-gap fit, while providing a 20mm clearance step above the floor to eliminate base-plate collision. - DIRECT BASE SLOT DROP-IN: Each blade features exactly ONE rigid, centered 99.0 mm wide x 20.0 mm deep male interlocking tab protruding straight down vertically out of its 186.4 mm baseline edge. - THE CHASSIS BASE PLATE MESH: The base plate consists of an outer structural 550 mm x 550 mm square platform with rounded corners enclosing the inner octagon slot grid. The 4 extended corners of the square act as outrigger mounting bays for heavy castor plates and leveling legs. The 8 receiving slots are cut to an exact, tight 1.0 mm width and 100.0 mm length, centered precisely along the 186.4 mm perimeter lines to accept the 0.9mm steel tabs with a zero-play mechanical friction fit. The slot path loop must accommodate the parallel thickness offset of the rotating pinwheel shingle layers. 3. DELIVERABLES REQUIRED: - Clean, manifold 3D Step (.STP / .STEP) or SolidWorks assembly file showing the locked 60-degree interlocking polyhedral funnel. - Production-ready 2D Flat-Pattern nested sheet metal vector profile layers (.DXF format) with absolute zero double-lines or overlapping nodes, scaled at a true 1:1 millimeter constraint, ready to load straight into a CNC Fiber Laser cutting machine bed compiler. Brief: Expert sheet metal fabricators and precision product draftsmen preferred. Clean layout math and geometric rigidity are absolute priorities. Let's move fast!
