About the project
I already have a clear concept for a small, power-operated horticulture trimmer and now need it translated into fabrication-ready CAD. I’m looking for both a detailed 3D model and complete 2D manufacturing drawings so my local workshop can build, test, and iterate quickly. The tool must remain lightweight and truly portable, so the design should combine metal for strength in the drive and cutting components with plastic housings and ergonomic grips. Please keep assembly and maintenance in mind—fasteners, fit-ups, and tolerance stacks should be practical for a medium-scale workshop that relies on standard machining and basic injection-mould or 3-D printed plastic parts. Deliverables • Fully parametric 3D model (any mainstream CAD platform you’re comfortable with) • Accurate 2D drawings with dimensions, tolerances, and material call-outs ready for fabrication If you’ve designed small motorised garden tools or similar handheld equipment before, that experience will be invaluable. Once I approve the CAD, I may ask for a simple BOM and suggestions for off-the-shelf drive components, so modular thinking is appreciated. I’m ready to start as soon as I find the right designer.
