Jewelry CAD Designer – Rhino 3D / MatrixGold | Long-Term Opportunity Summary We are looking for an experienced Jewelry CAD Designer to join our production team for ongoing, long-term collaboration. You will work from sketches, reference images, and design briefs provided by our team, turning them into precise, production-ready 3D jewelry models. We specialize in custom, high-end jewelry, so technical accuracy, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of jewelry manufacturing requirements are essential. Position Details: Rate: $5 per hour Work Type: Full-time, approximately 40 hours per week Duration: Long-term collaboration Trial: Paid trial task before joining the team permanently Responsibilities Convert sketches, reference images, and design briefs into accurate 3D jewelry CAD models. Design custom rings, bands, pendants, earrings, and other fine jewelry pieces. Use Rhino 3D with jewelry-specific plugins such as MatrixGold, RhinoGold, or equivalent software. Deliver the first CAD draft within 24 hours of receiving a design brief, when the project scope allows. Make up to four rounds of revisions based on feedback from our team. Produce high-quality 3D renders and 360-degree views of approved designs. Export clean, correctly scaled DXF files and other required production files. Ensure models are technically accurate and suitable for the intended manufacturing process. Requirements Proven experience in fine jewelry CAD design. Strong proficiency in Rhino 3D and jewelry CAD plugins such as MatrixGold, RhinoGold, or similar tools. A portfolio demonstrating previous jewelry CAD projects, including detailed models and finished renders. Understanding of jewelry construction, stone settings, dimensions, and manufacturing requirements. Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining high modeling accuracy. Good communication skills and the ability to follow technical instructions and revision notes. Ability to deliver clean, properly scaled, and organized CAD files.
