China Urban Landscape Design Partner

About the project

I’m preparing an international urban-landscape design competition submission for a waterfront site in Guangzhou and I’m looking for a China-based collaborator who can jump in immediately on a project-by-project, part-time basis. You’ll work with me remotely, yet having the flexibility to visit the site or attend in-person meetings in Guangzhou will be a real advantage when we need quick surveys, photo updates or client presentations. Native-level Mandarin lets you coordinate smoothly with local consultants, and your working English helps us keep the international team in sync. Scope of involvement From the first sketch right through to construction documentation, you’ll be hands-on: shaping the initial concept, developing detailed landscape and public-realm strategies, and packaging drawings that meet local submission standards. Your background in urban design and landscape architecture—anchored by solid project-management habits—means you can balance creativity with deadlines and file organisation. Typical deliverables • Concept masterplan diagrams, mood boards and quick 3D massing to test ideas • Detailed landscape plans, sections and planting palettes ready for client review • Fully coordinated CAD/REVIT drawing sets for planning approval and tender • Bilingual presentation decks so the local authority and international jury can read the same story We move fast, so comfort with AutoCAD (or REVIT), Adobe CC and a preferred 3D tool such as SketchUp or Rhino is important. If you bring additional strengths—parametric modelling, on-site coordination, public-realm lighting design—we’ll gladly fold them in. Availability & next steps I need someone who can commit a few hours most weekdays during the next six weeks, starting immediately.
