Please read the full project requirements before submitting a proposal. This project is not simply a CAD modification or STL preparation project. The primary challenge is successfully producing a dimensionally accurate, functional TPU 90A prototype approximately 12 inches in diameter. Applicants should have hands-on experience printing large flexible TPU components and be prepared to demonstrate that experience. My primary need is assistance from someone with proven experience printing large TPU 90A parts. I am looking for guidance on the best approach, including: • Wall thickness recommendations • Infill type and density • Print speed and temperature settings • Shrinkage compensation • Post-processing methods • Overall design adjustments needed for successful printing I am open to your recommendations and expertise, particularly regarding print settings and infill selection. Scope of Work The selected freelancer will: • Review, refine, and suggest improvements to the existing CAD model and STL to ensure the design is optimized for TPU printing. • Print and test prototypes as needed, adjusting based on measurements, fit, flexibility, and performance. • Help achieve dimensional accuracy across the full 12-inch diameter through an iterative print-and-test process. • Document all design revisions and provide updated engineering files • Deliver the final STL and any associated source CAD files. • Produce and ship a fully functional TPU 90A prototype to the United States. Communication Expectations Regular communication is required throughout the project. Please be prepared to provide photos, videos, dimensional measurements, and testing results for each prototype iteration before proceeding to the next revision. I would like: • Photos and/or videos of each prototype iteration • Dimensional measurements after each test print • Updates on any design or process changes before they are implemented Preferred Qualifications • Demonstrated experience with large-format TPU printing • Experience designing or refining parts for TPU manufacturing • Proficiency in SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or similar professional CAD software • Ability to recommend and validate print settings based on real-world TPU printing experience The project will be considered complete once the prototype meets dimensional and performance requirements and all finalized digital files have been delivered along with the shipped part. Proposal Requirements To be considered, please include answers to the following: 1. What printer model(s) will you use for the TPU 90A prototype? 2. Have you personally printed TPU parts larger than 10 inches in diameter? If so, please provide photos, videos, or examples. 3. What experience do you have printing TPU 90A or similarly flexible materials for functional applications? 4. How do you compensate for TPU shrinkage, warping, and dimensional variation on larger parts? 5. What dimensional tolerance do you believe is realistically achievable for a TPU 90A part approximately 12 inches in diameter? 6. Will you personally perform all printing and testing, or will any portion of the project be outsourced? 7. How many design, print, and test iterations are included in your quote? 8. Can you provide examples of previous functional TPU prototypes you have produced? Please be specific. Preference will be given to applicants with demonstrated experience producing large-format TPU parts and achieving consistent dimensional accuracy.
