Convert DWG to Advance Steel Model

About the project
I already have a complete 3D model in .dwg format; what I need now is for that geometry to be rebuilt inside Autodesk Advance Steel as a proper assembly model ready for fabrication. Every plate, section and connection has to read correctly in Advance Steel, with all the metadata, part numbers and shop‐drawing intelligence that the platform offers. Please base the work on British Standards so bolt sizes, edge distances and plate thicknesses match BS requirements out of the box. Once finished I should be able to open the file in Advance Steel, run the numbering routine and generate NC files and GA/shop drawings without further clean-up. If you have solid experience taking imported DWG geometry all the way to a fully functional Advance Steel assembly model, including connection objects and fabricator-ready data, I’d like to hear how quickly you can turn this around and see a brief outline of your workflow.
