About the project

I’m ready to breathe new life into two key areas of my home: the basement and my current office nook. Basement vision The basement will function first and foremost as an entertainment space. I picture a welcoming bar and lounge area with a cozy, rustic vibe—reclaimed timber, textured brick, warm metals, layered lighting, and plush seating that encourages guests to settle in. While the bar and lounge are the heart of the plan, I want to fully utilize the space by integrating dedicated zones for entertainment: a media and TV viewing area for movie nights, a structured setup for playing cards and board games, and a dedicated gaming section for video games. I’m also open to clever suggestions for additional spill-over zones (a small tasting corner, an intimate music spot, or even space for the occasional salon-style gathering) that tie these elements together naturally. Office update Upstairs, my day-to-day work area needs a design refresh that aligns stylistically with the new basement yet remains highly practical. Along with improved storage, better task lighting, and a backdrop that looks polished on video calls, I want to integrate a dedicated small haircutting and shaving station into the layout. This grooming area should be cleverly built-in, functional, and stylishly concealed or integrated so it doesn't disrupt the professional feel of the workspace. What I’d like from you Concept mood board illustrating the cozy-rustic direction across all zones Scaled floor plan showing the bar, distinct entertainment zones (TV viewing, gaming, card table), seating clusters, and circulation path, plus the updated office layout with the integrated grooming station 3D renders (SketchUp, Revit, Blender, or similar) that capture lighting and materiality convincingly Materials and furniture specification list with sourcing notes (local or online) One round of revisions after the initial presentation Acceptance Final files delivered in an editable format (DWG/PDF for plans, native files for 3D, JPEG/PNG for visuals). Everything should match the agreed mood board, fit existing structural constraints, and be ready for a contractor to cost up. If this sounds like your kind of project, let’s talk timing and next steps.
